Welcome to the brand new Quilters' Guild Shop. Thanks for popping by and visiting our new online shop. For our first blog post I thought you might like to know a little bit about us and where we came from.
The Quilters' Guild Shop is our next adventure following on from our previous existence as the Quilt Museum Shop, which had a physical shop in York as part of the Quilt Museum and Gallery as well as its own online shop. Following the closure of the Quilt Museum and Gallery we wanted to continue to offer our services and gorgeous quilt and patchwork products which we know so many of you loved.
The Quilters' Guild Shop is run by the commercial arm of The Quilters' Guild, QGBI Enterprises. All your purchases here support the work of The Quilters' Guild whose aim is to preserve our quilting and patchwork heritage and to educate, encourage and inspire all those involved in this wonderful craft or who would like learn. Profit from the shop is given to The Quilters' Guild to support their work.
The Quilters' Guild has a wonderful collection of patchwork and quilting dating from our earliest piece, the 1718 Silk Coverlet to modern day pieces, you can view many of them online at the Quilt Museum website.
We are working with our collection to bring you patterns, reproductions, kits, homeware and more so we can share some of the pleasure and beauty of some of our wonderful collection.
